As much as I love wearing bright makeup, it’s not the best look for daytime makeup. We all love bright blue and green eyeshadows but we can use color during the day and not have it be so bold! For work, everyone I know uses either the Urban Decay Naked Palette or a pair of neutral brown shadows. We don’t have to give in to neutral ladies! Colors make the world a brighter place, and what better way to use colors than in our makeup to give us a dazzling look! For this makeup tutorial I will be showing you how to use fun colors that would be ideal to wear on a lunch date or for work! The main color that I used all over the lid is a neutral pink and the pop of color is going to be on our lower lash line using a blue eyeliner. For the rest of the face I used corals since it’s the perfect summer color! So let’s let this Pretty in Pink Neutral Makeup Tutorial started! First off, you want to use a light eyeshadow base to keep your eyeshadows from creasing throughout the day. I used the Essence You Rock Eyeshadow Base and then used the NYX Jumbo Eyeshadow Pencil in Milk, the white eyeshadow base will help give your eyeshadows a pop since the white neutralizes your skin tone. Apply the base all over the lid, concentrating on the center and the inner corner and blending it out evenly. Next you want to start off with a light shimmery pink eyeshadow. All of the eyeshadows used for this look is from the Sleek Makeup Oh So Special Palette. The shimmery pink eyeshadow has a hint of a peachy hue to it, which will help to pull in the rest of the makeup in this look. I used an eyeshadow sponge tip applicator to apply the eyeshadow, it helps to generously pack on the color and since our base is tacky the eyeshadow will stick and last all day without creasing or fading! This is what you should have: Next we are going to create depth, using a matte brown eyeshadow with a blending brush and apply the product where your crease is. If you don’t have a crease than simply apply the matte brown shadow right underneath the bone of your eye socket, this will help create the illusion of depth and bring a bit of smoky-ness to our look! You can use either a medium matte brown eyeshadow or a darker brown. This is what you should have: Now let’s highlight! Using a matte vanilla color, apply this using a precision brush on the inner corner of the eye and then under your eyebrow. This is what you should have: Next we are going to take a little bit of that same brown and apply it on our lower lash line. Use an angle brush for precise application, we don’t want this look to be too smoky. Apply liquid eyeliner on your top lash line, you can use either a dark brown or a black. Now for the pop of color! I used a CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus Eyeliner Pencil in Midnight Blue, it’s a deep blue shade that is perfect for a subtle look. You can opt for a brighter sky blue eyeliner or any other color of your choice! Apply this on the waterline, you can apply this on your lash line but it looks a bit cleaner when it’s placed on your waterline. Apply your favorite black mascara and you are done with your eye makeup! For the lips I used the Revlon Lip Butter in Tutti Fruitti, it’s a very bright coral lip color perfect for a day out. For cheeks I love using the Avon Golden Glow Blush, it’s a pretty peachy color with a hint of gold shimmer. I hope you all enjoyed this look and try it out for a simple daytime look, with just a few key products and steps you can achieve this look really easily! Just practice and experiment. Until next time, stay gorgeous!
