Hello Everyone! I’m sure we have all seen a dramatic cut crease makeup look, I absolutely love this type of makeup look. Now me being self taught at makeup, I have been trying to get better at this particular makeup look because it is very tricky. A cut crease makeup look is a really defined- sharp crease which isn’t at all blended out. For this look I wanted to play with my new Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bold Gold, it’s a gorgeous cream eye shadow that doesn’t crease. So lets get this Gold and Green Cut Crease Makeup Tutorial started! Start off by applying an eyeshadow base, this helps to even out any discoloration on your eyelid. Next I pulled out my awesome Maybelline Eye Studio Color Tattoo Eyeshadow in Bold Gold, if you ever get a chance to visit a drugstore this is a MUST HAVE product. It’s a super creamy pigmented cream eyeshadow that you can use alone or paired with an eyeshadow. This doesn’t crease or smudge for hours. This is how the product looks, it’s more of a bronze gold and has less yellow tone to it. I took Bold Gold and applied it all over the lid, you can use your fingers for this step but I found using a stiff shader brush gives an even application of product. This is what you should have, apply this all over the lid. Next I wanted to take a Gold Pigment, this one has a green duo-chrome effect to it, similar to MAC Old Gold Pigment. I took the same shader brush and packed on this gorgeous pigment on top of the cream eye shadow. You might be wonder WHY we are applying an eyeshadow on top? Well the Bold Gold is a base that we use to make the pigment color pop. See the vibrancy in the Old Gold pigment? This is what you should have: Now let’s get to the cut crease. Take a matte brown eye shadow with a precision brush, I used a brush that is straight an stiff, this is going to work as a map to define the crease before we apply any color. This will add to defining your crease. You want to position your eye in front of the mirror so you can see where your crease starts. The reason why I used this brush so to easily define my crease. You want to start applying color to where you can feel your brow bone. I also applied color to the outer crease of the eye. I tried to create a more defined crease but it was a bit difficult since my eyes are a bit small to work with. Next I took a green eye shadow on a tapered eyeshadow brush. I mixed the dark green and bright green and started applying the color to the outer crease. The tapered brush makes this step very easy! You want to take some of that same color an apply it on your lower lash line. Let’s now add a highlight color, I used a shimmery vanilla eyeshadow pigment on an angled brush. Apply the highlight color under your brow to create an iridescent highlight. Use the same color on the inner corner. Now you want to use a dark green eyeliner, i used an Avon Waterproof Glimmerstick in Sea Green. Apply your favorite liquid eyeliner on the top. Apply some false lashes and you are done! This look is perfect for a night out since it’s packed with shimmery colors. You can pair this look with any lip and cheek combination. I love wearing peachy and nude colors on my lips and keeping the cheeks simple with a contour and highlight. I hope you all enjoyed this look! Until Next time! Stay Beautiful
